Facebook Upgrades Dynamic Product Ads for Travel Marketers
In an effort to help travel brands stay more relevant to Facebook users, the leading social media network has re-launched its Dynamic Product Ads platform. By renovating this ad platform to make it more pertinent to users’ travel interests, Facebook hopes this will demonstrate that the network is the ideal place for travel brands to advertise. Tnooz.com shared more on how Facebook’s new ad platform is designed to better accommodate brands’ travel marketing strategies.
Up until now, Google AdWords has been the pay-per-click program most frequently used by travel marketing experts. But with Facebook’s recent re-launch of its Dynamic Product Ads platform, more and more travel brands have been discovering that Facebook should be the new location for their paid advertising spend.
With the new Dynamic Product Ads, travel brands will be able to accomplish the following:
- Target Facebook users who have expressed a direct interest in visiting specific destinations on certain dates.
- Connect with people that have visited a hotel’s website by serving them with ads promoting the hotel, as well as similar properties in that location.
- Show relevant hotels to Facebook users who purchased travel tickets through the social network’s website or app.
- Allow hotels to provide dynamic room availability and pricing to ensure that people have the most current information.
The new ad platform has already been tested by numerous travel brands with great results. With this positive feedback, Facebook has planned to gradually roll out the platform over the next few months. Major travel brands like TripAdvisor already plan to increase their travel marketing activity on Facebook and YouTube during 2016.
In addition, Facebook has recently launched its prior version of its Dynamic Product Ads platform on its sister brand, Instagram. While less relevant than the new platform, it gives travel brands another place to retarget and welcome a huge social media audience.
